Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NDU in Lebanon invites applications for full-time faculty positions in Civil Engineering at the Assistant Professor level starting September 2016. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with specializations in Water Resources, Environmental, Structural, Materials or Project Management (with preference given to those who have American experience). Previous teaching and/or post-doctoral experience is a plus. NDU is a private, Lebanese non-profit Catholic Institution of higher education which adopts the American system of education. The university, which is located on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the city of Beirut, is a growing institution that is currently the home of more than 1600 engineering students; around 700 of them are enrolled in the civil engineering program. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is committed to excellence in teaching, research and services to the university and its supporting community. The successful applicants are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, engage in research, and participate in the academic/social life of the University. Department of Mechanical Engineering

Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at NDU in Lebanon invites applications for full-time faculty positions in Mechanical Engineering at the Assistant Professor level starting September 2016. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (with preference given to those who have American experience). Good candidates will be considered in all relevant areas, emphasis will be placed on: solid/structural mechanics, design/vibrations, materials/manufacturing, and control/automation/robotics. Previous teaching and/or post-doctoral experience is a plus. NDU is a private, Lebanese, non-profit, Catholic Institution of higher education which adopts the American system of education.
