Minor in Translation (16 credits)


Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this minor, students should be able to:
1.  Explain the key principles of translation as a professional and academic field of study
2.  Apply standard techniques of translation to produce accurate texts in the target language
3.  Demonstrate fluency in two languages of the program (English, French, and Arabic)

Students minoring in Translation must successfully complete a total of 16 credits with a minimum average of 2.0/4.0 in the minor courses. Students in this minor would choose between two language options: Arabic/ English or Arabic/French. Students must earn a B or higher in the Arabic and French Assessment Exams and in ENL 213.
