This minor introduces the student to the world of events management, i.e., the world of conferences, meetings, exhibitions, festivals, sports competitions, social venues, fiestas, conventions and the like.

After the completion of this minor the student should Have:

  • Acquired the basic principles, concepts and skills required to organize and execute a successful event.
  • Learned how to handle the challenges and risks that hinder the success of an event.  
  • Grasped the basic comprehension of the operations and logistics relative to each type of event
  • Learned to perform the required level of communication with the relative stakeholders and media.

The minor in Events Management consists of:
- Four required courses; three of which are 3 credits and one internship course of 1 credit. 
- Two elective courses from a pool each of which is three credits.

Consequently, the minor would total 16 credits (10 credits core courses and 6 credits elective courses)
