Dr. Ghanimeh graduated with a PhD degree in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from AUB in summer 2012. Prior to joining the PhD program, she worked as a lab instructor for nearly 8 years at the Department of Civil and Environmental engineering at NDU. She is ACI Certified in Concrete Field Testing.

Dr. Ghanimeh’s research focus is on the anaerobic digestion of wastes. She has published and presented her work in international peer-reviewed journals and renowned conferences including IWA, AWMA and ISWA. Dr. Ghanimeh is a peer reviewer for the Environmental Technology Journal and the Journal of the Air and Waste Management Association.  Besides her interest in biotechnology, she has developed interest in solid waste management and climate change health impacts. She had major contributions to international reports on climate change adaptation to the European Commission and the International Development Research Center, Canada.
