Dr. Issa joined the Faculty of Engineering at Notre Dame University-Louaize in October 2013, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Communication Engineering (ECCE). Dr. Issa research areas of interest include processor architecture, performance and power modeling for different processor architectures using different Cloud Computing and High Performance Computation workloads. His previous job at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, California (1998-2013) included a senior processor simulation engineer position. Past positions at Intel Corporation included also software development, chipset validation, technical marketing for mobile platforms and low power display enabling. He received several awards and recognitions from Intel Corporation; the latest award received in 2012 in appreciation of outstanding contribution to the development of the First in Intel Xeon Phi Co-processor product family. He teaches a number of subjects at NDU including computer processor architecture, microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital logic design. He also teaches software programming courses for engineering applications which includes Matlab and Labview.
